The area and how to find your way around
Located in the Community of Catalonia, 12 km from Reus, 10 km from Vilaseca and 21 km from Tarragona, Cambrils is one of the most important tourist centres in the province. It is located in the centre of the Costa Dorada, protected by the Llaberia, Argentera and Mussara mountain ranges, which descend gently to the sea. The mild climatic conditions of the area, with average temperatures of 25 degrees in summer and 12 degrees in winter have made it one of the most visited destinations in Catalonia throughout the year. However, if you decide to book your holiday home in Cambrils, we recommend that you do so in summer so you can enjoy its magnificent beaches.
A city that has grown up looking out to seaAlthough it is known of the presence of prehistoric settlements already in the Neolithic, the town of Cambrils had its origin in an Iberian fortified nucleus that was established 1 km from the coast, near the ford of the royal road from Barcelona to Valencia. Where today is located the old town, characterised by a network of charming streets full of plants and squares with arcades full of terraces. Little by little the population was expanding, concentrating in two nuclei separated by 1 km: the marine zone of the port and the peasant village of interior. Due to the urban growth both nuclei were united throughout the twentieth century. But its urban morphology cannot be explained without the tourist impulse. The city has been widening looking towards the coast and the road that connects it with Salou has become a backbone through which both sides of the city have expanded. For this reason, most holiday homes in Cambrils are very close to the beach.

It also has a water sports centre called WindCambrils, where you can rent Hobiecats, windsurf lessons, rent boards or bananas; a beach bar where you can enjoy live concerts at sunset on weekends; and a long promenade of 9 km that reaches Salou, family atmosphere and relaxed and full of beautiful scenery.
