Llangadfan 1 mile.
A picturesque 18th century detached cottage set close to the owners home, on a 5 acre smallholding in a peaceful rural location close to the small villages of Llangadfan and Foel.
The owners are artists, and this charming Llangadfan cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated throughout in a country theme with an artistic chic style and is perfect for a family holiday.
Inside this Mid Wales cottage there are three bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
Outside this cottage near Foel is a lawned garden ideal for relaxing or wining and dining after a pleasant riverside walk, bird watching or fishing beside the banks of the River Banwy which runs through the owners land.
The village of Llangadfan is a convenient base for touring all of Mid and North Wales and into Shropshire, or for enjoying the outdoor activities in the area.
There are wonderful walks with the Glyndwr's Way passing this Llangadfan cottage and from the village there is a scenic 4 mile ramble over the rolling Montgomeryshire Hills, or wander through the nearby 6000 acre Dyfnant Forest.
Only 9 miles away from this Mid Wales cottage is Lake Vyrnwy, a renowned Nature Reserve and RSPB site, which provides long walks and bike trails.
Visit Powis Castle and gardens, Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales and Llanfair Caereinion, which is 7 miles away and is home to the famous steam railway and an excellent cafe.
Also in the area is the market town of Machynlleth, the Tabernael Art Centre, the exciting Centre of Alternative Technology and all of the Snowdonia National Park, including the magnificent Mount Snowdon.
The stunning beaches at Barmouth and Harlech, and the market towns of Dolgellau and Montgomery are also within easy driving distance.
If you are seeking an action-packed break with mountain biking and rock climbing, or simply a lovely base from which to tour the surrounding areas of Wales and Shropshire, this delightful Llangadfan cottage is ideal all year round.
